Teaching philosophy

My holistic approach aims to build a wide variety of musical and pianistic skills so my students can speak, think, and feel musically.

I guide my students through engaging dialogue to help them develop into independent musicians.

The pleasure of music-making always comes first, whether you’re preparing for a recital or learning the chords to your favourite song.

My background

With qualifications and experience in classical, popular, and experimental music, I’m happy to help my students follow their passions.

I’m also well-placed to broaden my students’ musical fluency through song-writing, composition, and improvisation.

Lessons with me

I teach lessons of 30-60 minutes, either at my wonderful home studio or in your own home.

I can be flexible in accommodating your schedule and work with you to devise a practice plan that helps you achieve your goals.

I also offer accompaniment for exams, rehearsals, and concerts, as well as theory lessons.
